Happy Good FridayΒ

last night when I got home from work i walked in the front door there was candles everywhere, dinner ready and 4 trails of Easter eggs each leading to a different present.  I was so surprised and after a not so great day at work it was just what i needed and it made me so happy!!!

This morning I thought I would sneak into mum and dads house and make them breakfast in bed but just as I was carrying it in mum woke up, but it’s the thought that counts.

As I’m not a very religious person for me celebrating Easter and Christmas has been all about celebrating family.

Catch Up

Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted!!!

Life has been crazy for me firstly I was sick and had virus that I just couldn’t shake so needless to say I wasn’t much fun to be around, I’m so lucky I have such a wonderful husband who was looking after me not to mention doing all the housework.

Then I started a new job that is very full on and such long hours so there has definitely been an adjustment period, but I’m finally starting to get into a routine which is good.

Amongst all that I realised how much I missed crafting so I joined up to be a Stampin Up demonstrator. I’m waiting for my kit to arrive which is exciting.

Today I brought this little beauty…

Anyone who isn’t familiar with this its a die cutting machine used in crafting. I’m definitely going to have fun playing around with this little beauty.

Career Change at 35

So I am in my mid thirties and have been thinking of a career change.
I have been working in community services for the last 15 years which I have enjoyed but I’m ready for a new adventure, but I have had a bit of a negative response from people I have told which is a little disheartening.
Considering I have to work for another 35 years unless I win the lottery I don’t think I’m to old to change my career.
Either way I’m going to change my career I know it won’t be easy but I’m looking forward to the challenge.

So let me ask you is 35 too old for a career change?

Just a little food for thought.

Look what I made πŸ˜Š

I made this wine bottle label, card, gift card and chocolate box.
This is a great gift to give for any occasion which you can put your own personal touch on.
I brought an $8 bottle of wine and and the chocolates are $7
The materials I used are;
1 x white card stock $0.80
1 x Storyteller Passion Paper (Kaisercraft)$1.50
1 x Storyteller Die Cut Pack (Kaisercraft) $7.00

After I finished I still had over 30 die cuts left and left over paper.
You could use any paper you have laying around your craft room.

Happy Crafting 😊

From lazy Sunday to mission kitchen clear out

Today’s just been a lazy Sunday it’s one of those days where you wake up have a snuggle and look out the window at the gloomy weather and decide today’s going to be a lounge day in my pjs, unfortunately my better half had to go to work so here I am laying on the lounge watching movies.
I just finished watching Endless Love, I hadn’t seen it before and it was so sweet.
There was a scene in the movie where they opened their kitchen cupboards and everything was so organised!!!
Which also made me think I hope no one comes over and opens my kitchen cupboards lol.
So bring on mission kitchen clear out,
As we live in a one bedroom apartment our place isn’t that big and we don’t have lots of storage especially in the kitchen.
So this week I’m going to make my challenge to clear out my kitchen cupboards and try to have them more organised.
Let’s face it i try to be organised but it’s not really my forte, you can’t blame a girl for trying right.
So if anyone has any tips or advice I would love to hear them.
Stay tuned for the outcome.
